Finass Business Travel Workshop 2019, been there - Risk management for SME

Updated: Dec 27, 2022

It was an impressive event with almost 100 participants. On October 23, 2019, the annual "Finass Business Travel Worshop" took place at the SIX Convention Point in Zurich - www.finass.ch. Together with our partner travelBrain - www.travelbrain.ch - we were able to exchange ideas with the delegates on the subject of travel risk management.

Birger Oldorff travel risk management specialist at Finass Travel Workshop

Finass, a leading Swiss travel service provider, known for efficient business travel worldwide, focused primarily on the new sales models of travel service providers. We were allowed to speak about 30 minutes on the subject of "travel security" - but adapted to the occasion by mainly discussing how international SMEs in particular buy corresponding services. During the lecture there was an exciting exchange with the delegates. It turned out that many companies consider the topic to be very important. However, it also became apparent that many often do not know exactly which priorities should be set when introducing processes related to travel security.

This is exactly what we focused on in the further course of the lecture, with a brief excursus into legislation (Duty of Care) and the various elements of travel risk management - before, during and after the trip.

Finally, we invited the delegates to download our self-analysis questionnaire with 34 questions free of charge. Available here https://bit.ly/FinassTravelRiskManagement. We look forward to further exciting exchanges with Finass customers.

Michael Peschke (Lufthansa) also explained the new sales world for airlines to us, while management consultant Ludger Bals then gave a lecture on purchasing processes. Then Kathrin Dellantonio, Head of Corporate Partnerships, Foundation myclimate, Zurich, spoke on the subject of "avoid - reduce - compensate" to reduce CO2 emissions in companies. The exciting series of lectures was rounded off by extreme diver Peter Colat, who was able to sweep the audience away with his experiences and pictures from the first to the last minute.

We look forward to the next Finass Travel Workshop
